Let's see, I am a 23 year old Messianic Jewish woman named Ashley Renee. I am a life long resident of Texas, I love it; it's hot, humid and my little area - so I'm told - smells funny (refineries) but I love it.
I've been telling stories since I could talk and I've been writing fiction since I was about six or seven. Occasionally I pop out a poem but by in large what I've written is prose. More and more I find myself writing poetry and essay-type creatures. Those essays have a way of becoming blog entries [ofchurchandstate-myview.blogsp…. I design clothes but haven't really gotten much made - a couple of dresses for a wedding I had to go to but other than that...My dA ID where I'm in the pink dress with the red paper crown? I designed that dress.
I like taking pictures - amateur photography; I used to use a Nikon Coolpix L5, I just got an Olympic Stylus 7000. I don't currently use Photoshop so whatever the image is, that's what I shot for most of my images and all of ones taken with the Nikon. Some of my newer deviations have had the color played with in an image re-touching program. Rule of thumb: Nikon pics were untouched, Olympic pics were likely altered in some way.
Current Residence: Southeast Texas
Favourite genre of music: Anything Christian except Southern Gospel and Screamo.

I haven't been active on dA at all in the past year. I've checked in maybe two or three times and poked around but it's not a part of my life that's been real active.
2010 was a big year for me. I got into and out of some things, places and groups I wasn't supposed to be in. I survived H1N1!!!! I was anemic and then not anemic. I lost 100 lbs. from April to December (and more since then) and had Gastric Bypass surgery on November 22, 2010. God re-introduced me to my best friend as my best friend and is doing amazing things in my life and around me. :)

Hello! It's been quite a while since I've been on to do anything other than notice how much I've neglected dA. But what can I say? My farm on FarmVille is doing GREAT!!
I don't really have anything to say. I've been taking pictures, I need to upload some. I really like my new Olympus Stylus 7000; it gives pretty consistent red-eye but the photo quality is better than the Nikon. Red-eye's easy enough to fix but I've got to say that I enjoyed feeling special that I didn't do a whole lot of editing to my photos on the Nikon. If they sucked I didn't use them but with the Stylus it's like I'm supposed to edit the images so I do. ...
